Famous People

Just as families go to the cemetery to “visit” their dearly departed, fans go to cemeteries to see the graves of famous people. Consequently, many cemeteries put up sign posts and provide maps so that devotees can find the sought-after movie star, entertainer, politician, author, or other notable. It can be like a treasure hunt, and it is interesting to see how the person was memorialized – simply or elaborately, with a plain inscription or a thoughtful tribute. In Concord, Massachusetts, four giants of early American literature rest within a few feet of each other, and the site is appropriately called “Authors Ridge.” Below is our collection of photos of the gravesite of famous people that we have found so far.
